Hot Work Tool Steel Suppliers in Mumbai
Hot Work Tool Steels allow the heat-forming of work-particles made up from iron and nonferrous metals along with hot temperatures alloy formulations. These are used in techniques such as forming pressure die, extrusion and drop casting, and also in the manufacture of tubes and glasses. Hot Work Steels are often used in applications which require toughness, wear strength and durability at high temperatures.
The importance of tool steels varies well beyond what regarded as ordinary in specific. With the aid of tool steels almost all the items we are fascinated by and experience on a regular basis are made. The variety of applications for hot-work steels is enormous, and even the tools created have been used in the many various places. Tools made with Hot Work Tool Steels are not only prone to continuously elevated temperatures when used but rather to varying thermal loads that appear when the tool layers gets in contact with the components to be worked. H11 tool steel is a 5 per cent chromium hot work tool steel characterized by its outstanding durability of impact. Strong thermal conductivity and invulnerability to hot corrosion, and water can be chilled to a restricted point. In group the steels H11, H12 and H13 may constitute the largest volume used in all hot work die tool steel. Suman Steel is the largest H11 Tool Steel Supplier give custom standards, manufactured and distributed according to your particular needs. H11 tool steel is a high-hardening, air-hardening steel and H11 alloy steel can be highly hardened by heat and air-quenching procedures. H11 that work steel has also incredible protection to the cracking of thermal fatigue and superior consistent to net cracking and heat shock as water cools in action. Under heat treatment H11 tool steel has good surface stability. In die-casting, press grinding, extrusion operations etc., this offers the important necessities for prolonged tool life. Although there are multiple methods for creating and forming hot metals including such stamping, cutting, marking, shredding, upsetting and flipping to effectively work at high temperatures, the tools must have a mixture of strength, wear resistance as well as hardness.
H13 is an air hardening chromium die steel - it could be used in a variety of applications. The greater vanadium concentration assures improved heat-checking strength and all round compounds development at higher temperatures. Molybdenum and vanadium serve as reinforcing agents whereas the material of chromium allows the steel tool H-13 to resist softening when used at elevated heat. Suman Steel specialize in H13 Tool Steel Suppliers. The H13 tool steel provides high durability, excellent mechanical properties and improvement in the overall and can be produced using traditional techniques. So applications for H13 steel are of broad range in toughnes
Hot Work Tool Steel
Hot working tool steel is used to make iron and nonferrous metals as well as hot forming of the work-piece at high temperature of the alloy derivative. They are also used in the manufacturing of pressure die casting, extrusion and forging, as well as in the process of pipe and glass manufacturing. By heat as tool steel tool not only by the use of continuous high temperature, but also occurs in the heat load fluctuation in the tool is in contact with the materials to be processed.
In ASTM Steel Standard, Hot Work Tool Steel include the “H” in Hot Work Tool Steel Series. Like H10, H11, H12, H13, H14, H19, H21, H22, H23, H24, H25, H26, H42 Steels.
As the difference in Chemical Composition, it can be classified as:
- Chromium Hot Work Tool Steels
- Steel Grade Number From H10 to H19. their carbon composition is about 0.34-0.40, Normal Working Hardness is 400~600 HV. Normal Working Temperature is below 540°C。
- Tungsten Hot Work Tool Steels
- Steel Grade from H21 to H26 with a normal working hardness of 450-600HV.

H13 is a 5% chromium hot work tool steel designed for Application that require extreme toughness combined with good red-hardness. H13 allows an extra margin of safety in tools subject to heavy hammer blows, and those containing deep recesses or sharp corners. H13 was basically designed as a hot work steel. But it has now solved many cold work Application where extra toughness could be gained with some sacrifice of wear resistance.
